Rough Cold Start: PCM update?

Hey folks,

I was wondering if a PCM update would fix my rough cold start issue on a 2016 GT with 55000 KMS. Also, would that PCM update be covered under warranty in Canada? I still have the powertrain and emissions warranty.

If you still have powertrain warranty, I would recommend a dealer visit to get it into dealer's records. If it should get worse in the future and your CX5 is out of warranty, you might still be covered.

If your rough cold start is a newer issue and the PCM has not changed then it is unlikely that an update will correct it. More likely that a sensor is not registering the temp properly...
