I think my local dealer is $299 to install. Alternatively diy kits are $150-$199 and step by step instructions can be found on YouTube.
The version number is in the system. How do I know if I have the most recent software. I read that if I don’t have it, it’ll mess it up.
What region are you in?
Just FYI if you search on Craigslist, someone in OC area is doing $200 full installation.
I just put mine in yesterday. Took less than 2 hrs. Paid $154 shipped.
where’d you pick yours up from?

What year is your CX-9? The dealer should do the software update for free before the hardware install. I told mine there was an update to fix slow loading and they did it. There are ways to do it yourself.
Dealers don't have to do anything to a used car. The less they do the more they make. You can check the version in the car. Should be v70.00.21 or later.I have a 16 that I just picked up last week. Should be updated right? I got it from the dealer.
I did. Bought this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned) Then followed the instructions posted on this forum. Saved me $300 bucks doing it myself.Anyone tried the kits on amazon?
