2013~2016 Rear brake EPB issue

I'm changing my rear brakes on 2016 CX-5.

I didn't put it into service mode until after I took it apart. Now piston won't retract into caliper.

Should I take it out of service mode and put brakes back together and start over? Any ideas?

You can manually back-off/rotate the motor with an allen key, I believe.

I remember seeing it on youtube, so do a search there. You can also physically remove the motor assembly and push back the piston after that.

Some guys do that instead of maintenance mode.
