question about clutch master cylinder...

Hey all,

This might be a really stupid question but I need to know. My clutch pedal has been feeling a little soft lately and I'm thinking of replacing the clutch master cylinder myself. The thing is, when I look at the replacement part it doesn't look like it has the push rod connected?

I watched a video where a guy replaced a clutch master cylinder on another make/model of car and the new clutch master cylinder had new push rod already installed. Do you have to install the old push rod into the new clutch master cylinder?... or are they just not showing the (new) push rod installed in the new clutch master cylinder?
