Ha! You've obviously never sold Mazda's if you think there is anything close to 'huge markups', even at full sticker
I*m not saying there*s huge markups, I don*t really care what they make on the car, but I do know I always get the deal I*m looking for, and I always find a great deal for those that want it as well...Good luck with your sales...

Exactly...

Was actually kinda waiting on you to chime in as we have always been on the exact same page in this regard...

I got $5800 off my GT, and if I break down and decide to buy a GTR/Sig, I plan to do it again. I will never settle for less than 15%, you can believe that for sure...
I'm planning on picking up a Sig this year and like to know your strategy. I'm in no hurry and flexible in payment methods.

This isn't a contest... What can you expect to get *near* on a 2019 GT AWD (not the reserve or signature or PP package) WITHOUT the Loyalty (previous Mazda Owner) incentives. I think a purchase has $1000 rebate and a lease has $350. MSRP $32,440 if I remember correctly (not a model that you pay extra on paint). What's a good target? Minimum $2K off MSRP decent for West Coast on a lease, $2650 off on a purchase?

Seems like everyone is going for the Turbos, I could use some help on price to shoot for on a stripped down model! Don't mind if it's 2018 or 19, don't need a car to 'help' me drive either.. So less is better for me..

On another note has anyone gotten Dealer Lifetime powertrain warranty??

Id be real leary of anything that is Dealer Lifetime. I considered buying from one that offered that power train warranty and free lifetime oil changes and car washes. They sold out a few months later and the new owner didnt honor them. I ended up going for a lower price elsewhere.

I was happy with the power from the non turbo. I bought a 2019 touring fwd for $24,500 before TTL
Did you only get the $500 Mazda cash or did you quality for military or other discounts as well? That doesn't include trade in $? Sounds cheap for a Touring!!

Good point! I just really like the idea of a lifetime power train warranty, especially with the whole direct injection thing.
Sounds like it's not great at all for longevity, have to keep cleaning out the gunk professionally..

I paid $2500 for a 10 year extended warranty but its bumper to bumper (well there are a couple exclusions like light bulbs). That will cover any engine/turbo issues but also whats more likely to be trouble: things like electronics, heated/ventilated seats, rear door motor, etc and those things can cost a lot, particularly for labor.

Wow! That's a lot $$. My Lexus extended 10/yr 100k $0 deductible warranty was around $1,100. Did you negotiate, or just take their first quote? I passed on the warranty for my Mazda, based on past experience. I was quoted a monthly amount for a warranty, but passed on it and that was the last any extra's were brought up.

But it is. :)
IMO: If you got it that cheap strong chance there was still a lot of profit in the price for the core vehicle and they were willing to let it go at a loss or break even. That is not a normal price that goes for.

What Lexus model do you have?

Oops, I just looked it up. It's 8yrs 100k miles. It was also $1,200. I'm sure it will be a waste of money. I only have 2 years left, but 80k miles! I have a 2013 UL ES350.

There was a guy at a Toyota dealer (Jerry Johnson) in KS that was offering discounted platinum warranties. I heard about it on the Lexus forum. I used that info in my negotiations. The dealer was originally quoting over $2k.

I also note that your doc fees were a reasonable $85.00. Most dealers charge 2 or 3 times that.
Most around here and bordering states charge 7x that. The average is about $599. It's crazy, and "everyone has to pay it" they say, fine, I'm getting at least half of that back added on to a better selling price. It's straight profit...
