Post what you paid for your Mazda6

On 02/04/2014, I leased a 2014 Mazda6 i Touring, Blue Reflex w/ Black, Touring Pkg + dealer-installed Rear Lip Spoiler and Fog Lights. After more than four hours of haggling and debating whether to purchase or lease, I leased it for $1,278 due at signing (included 1st pymt) and $278/month for 36-months with 12k miles/year. A $1000 Owner Loyalty Incentive was included because I have a 2006 Mazda3 (which the Mazda6 is replacing) and a 2012 CX-9 GT.

On the night of 4/12/14, I was hit by a drunk driver and my 2014 Mazda6 i Touring was a total loss. The impact of a Ford F250 going 45mph+ plowing into the passenger side of my Mazda6 caused a shocking amount of damage. But the only injuries I had were minor bruises and contact burns caused by the seatbelt and side-impact and curtain airbags!

After seeing first hand how the car performs in a severe collision, there was no question that I would be replacing it with another Mazda6! I got the same color (Blue Reflex with Black interior), but I decided to purchase rather than lease this time. I also upgraded to a 2014 Mazda6 i Grand Touring (from my previous Touring w/ Tech Pkg). My Grand Touring had a sticker price of $30,290 (no options) and after two weeks of haggling, I got it for $26,500. I also got 0.9% ARP financing for 60 months. I thought my Touring was almost perfect, but I love my new Grand Touring even more.

Just yesterday I purchased a 2015 GT w/ Tech package, soul red, door sill trim plates, rear bumper guard, and all-weather floor mats, for $30,656, which is 8.3%, or $2,784, off MSRP ($33,440). It's also 2.3%, or $724 below invoice.

Subtract $500 for Mazda loyalty and $750 trade-in for my rusty 2000 Protege. Add $250 documentation, $34 title, $2,412 tax and that came to $32,102.

I feel like I stole mine!

I've been keeping an eye on cars.com for the past couple of months looking for a cool mid-size sedan... the M6 was obviously part of the list as it looks so good, but I did not know much of the details (options etc...) until this weekend...
On Sat. 8/16 I checked cars.com and saw a 2014 M6 iTouring with 3000 miles for sale by Mazda of Orange (30min from where I live) for $23k... I drove to the dealership and asked them if it was still available. At first he came back and looked confused, stating that the car was here, but that the price looked "wrong" to him... He showed me the car: a dark gray 2014 M6 with Tech package, black leather interior, and everything I could ask for was there... they then tried to steer me to a white one with beige interior, but that was not my cup of tea so I insisted on the dark grey one... turns out, it was one of their demo model and someone in their internet department apparently screwed the price... anyhow, they had to maintain it (legally), but would not take my trade-in (9yo Chrysler mini-van POS) considering their mistake and that they were "loosing money on this deal"... 2 hours later (of tiring negotiations) they finally took my mini-van for $3000k, basically paying for all the tax, registration, alarm, fees, etc... and I got the M6 for $23.3k OTD.

Do you drive South on Ridge Road in the morning?

kind of off topic but i have 2008 mazda 6.. I was thinking of getting mazda 6 touring manual or Honda accord sport Manual. I called my insurance company for quote on both cars and the mazda 6 was full 300$ more expensive to insure for full year compared to Accord .. why is that ??

I had kept my eyes open for a Soul Red M/T Mazda 6 Touring for a while, I can proudly say in December of 2014 i was able to locate one, negotiate the price down considerably. I am now the proud owner of a 2015 Soul Red M/T Mazda 6 Touring, 20K flat, out the door. Looking forward to putting nice little touches on it soon.

Soul Red Sport Auto. $20,500 minus 500 loyalty cash before taxes. Happy with the price, dealers weren't moving much on the Accord Sport and not at all on the base Legacy making the 6 several thousand less.

2015 Soul Red GT with no options except for rear bumper protector, paint, and wheel locks. MSRP of 31,165. Got it for 26,000 as it was the end of the month with nice incentives and the 2016's were coming on the lot. Same optioned 2016 car would have cost another 2,300 so I went with the 2015 as I tend to keep my cars a long time.

Reviving this thread to hear current pricing on 2016 models.

Got a friend looking at a 2016 Soul Red GT. Don't think he is going to add any options.

Thanks!
