I assume it is still a bit early, but has anyone seen or heard of any performance upgrades for the CX-9? Such as a CAI or other intake. I assume there maybe some similarities in upgrades between Ford Edge upgrades and CX-9.

I have been looking for ANY parts for the CX~9 or the edge and have found none! I found where he got that list from but when you go to select the aplication it isnt an option for the Edge! I have done almost all possible to the CX~9. Unless I find some performance upgrades than next will be a Car-puter with 7 inch indash touchscreen! and maybe a color change paint job!

It is getting the 3.5L and/or 3.7L, unfortunately the have pushed it back to an early release 2009 model instead of 2008. So we won't see it until late winter or early spring.

I'm looking at options to remove the silencers along the intake tract as well as remove the airbox and route tubing and a K&N cone filter. I haven't been able to really do this yet but there is a lot of room to work with. I'll post my impressions/mods as I get to them. I believe that Mobile 1 oil and smoother intake air flow will help my fuel mileage, at the least.

I've got a K&N direct replacement on my Volvo. Haven't seen one for the CX-9 yet and suspect that there may never be one due to limited demand. Let us know how the mod goes and post pictures if/when you do it.

I'm also planning to switch to Mobile 1 at the first oil change. Also used it in my Volvo - 235K miles with no engine work and still going strong!

Check the feedback. All they are selling is a resistor that basically does nothing but make you feel like you did something.
