The sound in the video I (hopefully) linked to below started recently on my '03 manual P5. I only hear it in first gear when I start moving, and on a flat surface it sounds like a train locomotive horn in the distance.

It sounds like its coming from under the car, equally from the left and right. With my palm, I've hit the exhaust heat shield that's above the exhaust pipe in the middle section of the car and it does rattle.

Can anyone give me a tip on what to tighten? I didn't see anything obvious.

Video doesn't work for me. It says "Invalid Parameters."

It kind of sounds like an exhaust rattle. Look under the car and see if the metal shields on the downpipe or shifter came loose. Also check the exhaust hangers, to see if any of them broke.

Hmm.. That was my first time trying to embed a video from my phone. I've moved it from Google to Photobucket. Any thoughts?

Natural, I'll take a look and see what I can see. I haven't bought jack stands yet and won't be getting under the vehicle until I do.

I found the problem: a broken muffler hanger. I'll get it welded at a nearby muffler shop. I'm hoping it's as simple as that.
