Mazda on top

2021 CX-9 Sig

2021 CX-5 GT
This is something Mazda should absolutely scream about:

Well done for them and a great sign the brand is improving.

Awesome news! I agree, I hope they take advantage of the good news.

If you look at the numbers, not only are they number 1, but they are number 1 with a bullet.

It's interesting that Mazda was able to beat out bigger volume brands like Honda and Toyota/Lexus with a much smaller piece of the pie. I think that if it weren't for the new Lexus LS (scored 13/100 😬), Mazda might have been 2nd or 3rd.

#1 in reliability...
Always a favorite by the auto press - for best handling, most fun, and highest quality interiors.
Many argue they are also among the best looking cars.

Yet, will sales ever make a dent in real market share? Nope. So sad.

Agreed, but that can be a good thing for those who need a good, reliable used car.

120k miles report:
Over the summer my 2013 CX-5 had its first real issue in 8 years of ownership. The AC wasn't blowing cold air. I had my mechanic change the 2 valves (similar as bike tire valves) in the engine bay and added new freon. $114 later and the AC has been good since.

Today on my monthly engine inspection I noticed small dried water pump leaking drip spots. Its in the independent shop right now at for replacement. Cost for replacement is $460.

70k miles report
I changed OEM Brake pads and rotors which still had life but I changed DIY because well........I was bored?

Spark Plugs were replaced myself as well.

I was looking at some cool Telluride and Pallisade reviews so decided to research Kia but came across these vids. 2 or 3 reports? Nope hundreds :|

Verdict: Ummm I think I'll stick to a Japanese car. Better yet a Made in Japan car = Mazda CX5, CX9, ect.
