Did your Kenwood badge move or fall off? Or did you buy used MP3 speakers and want to install the Kenwood badge on the rear shelf? Not sure where to place the badge and have a hard time matching up both sides? Then this template is for you!

Back story:
Originally, Mazda supplied a mounting template with the "performance accessory" speaker kits and to the workers at the ports to use when installing the Kenwood system. It seems to have gone the way of the Dodo bird, but I saw a little diagram depiction of the template in the MSP Kenwood system install instructions. I decided to try reverse engineering the template by measuring the length of the rear shelf speaker grilles and enlarging the diagram to the correct size. Hey what do you know, it was to scale and it is shaped correctly to use! So now you all can use this template to accurately place the badge where it belongs, for whatever reason.

You will need to print this WITHOUT any scaling. Select "actual size" in the printing options window.

Template "prototype" shown below:

Cut out along the lines then place the long curved edge of the template against the curved edge of the speaker grille (closest to the seat backs). The angled edge is placed against the speaker grille edge on the side closest to the C pillars like shown. You will need to flip the template for the left speaker grille.
