Nice write up.
I first learned to drive stick shift when a drunk driver in a chevy pick up hit 4 cars in one way street in a neighborhood close to mine.
I was driving a Mazda MX3 at the time.
I'll show these to my gf to see if they help her learn besides what I will teach her.

oh, she's driven my car before, but this is a great write-up and provides steps as to practicing to make her more comfortable. A five minute drive with no traffic is no problem for her, but she freaks if there are other cars, uphill starts, etc... thanks again!

Great write up, I have driven nothing but stick my whole life. I have even had people ride with me and not even notice it was a stick. Thats my goal, shift so smooth you can't even tell. I like how you broke it down with focus on the gas pedal first. The clutch is an easy movement to learn, but throttle control on steep hills can take practice. Prevents the WAAAHH blub blub WAAAAHH blub blub.
