High maintenance on Turbo

40k mile change for a Skyactiv Turbo seems conservative. Manual says gas Skyactiv-G engines need to be changed at 75k miles or so but real world experience should be good through 90k.

That said I'd do a quick inspection at 40k miles recommendation myself and hopefully if they are in good condition with good looking gaps I'll change them at 60k miles.

Unless you are driving a ton of miles a year - most would be changing plugs every 3yrs or so. Not a big deal to me. I am much more interested in how the car drives and how reliable it is. An RDX was mentioned by the OP. I had a 16 RDX pior to my 19 CX-5. It spent more time in the shop in the first year than my CX-5 will the entire time I will have it.
