HELP! Grinding noise from front end 2009 Mazda Demio

Hi everyone,

I have got a god awful grinding noise coming from the front right of the car under acceleration. Only seems to happen when the car is cold, and this is amplified when it is cold out. Sounds like it is coming from the front right suspension area.

I have taken the wheel off and nothing seems to be out of order. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or know what could be causing it.

I have attached a video of what I mean. (RHD Demio 2009) (I will admit on the video it sounds more like a clicking than grinding but in person, it definitely is a grinding noise.)

***UPDATE****

Ended up being both the lower and right engine mounts, only 43,000Kms on the car and they were completely shot. I could move the mounts from side to side with ease and rub the metal on one side to the other.

Engine is MUCHH quieter and grinding is completly gone.

Thanks for the update. It is good to know the engine mounts are something to look at when experiencing an odd noise from the front end. That was extremely low km's for such a failure.

How were you able to figure out the engine mounts were the problem?
