sorry to threadjack but, determining which connecting rods are best is simply an opinion. Everyone says the Pauter rods are best simply because a while back a vendor posted on their site that the Pauter rods can handle over 700hp. Then, on the K1 rods, they stated that they could handle 400hp. So based off of those statements, everyone started leaning towards Pauter rods. Everyone knows or should know that you can't pick a connecting rod based simply on HP figures. The reason it was said that Pauter rods can handle 700 hp is because there was a FS motor that dynoed around 734hp with Pauter rods. The reason it was said that K1 rods can handle around 400hp is because most proteges with K1 rods aren't making that much power. 300-350 range is what has been seen with K1 rodsbecause the average person doesn't have the money sitting around to build the transmission. But the 400hp figure was stated only because it's more than what the stock trans is capable of holding reliably. If you break a forged connecting rod, it's more than likely going to be because of your tune, not HP. We all should know that by now. Just like everyone says the stock rods can only handle 10psi. But yet, people have blown motors on stock boost. On the other hand, several members here have passed the 240hp mark on stock rods which of course takes more than 10psi to reach. Hell, 505zoom managed to hit 277 on stock rods. So, that's proof alone that tuning is the main factor on stock rods and forged rods when it comes to making decent power. All of the available rods for our cars are capable of making big power. Only difference is the Molnar and K1 rods are an H beam design while the Pauter rod is a X beam design. Either way, for those looking to build their motor and don't have any plans for the transmission, all available connecting rods will support more power than the transmission can handle. If you have a built trans, well, then your only limiting factor for power is going to be your tune, injector size, turbo, cylinder head porting, valvetrain and cam profile along with getting the power to stick to the ground. This is all assuming the car already has full bolt ons and standalone EMS. But in the end, the average person on here will never make enough power to even worry about what rod to use.
You stated that most companies offer Molnar/Wiseco combos and K1 is the best available. Molnar and K1 are both H beam rods. There is no proof in them being the best available. Everyone gets them only because of the price compared to Pauter rods.

oh..ok. lol. Well, I had the urge to clear that up as people have been saying one rod is better than the other for years now based off of assumptions and personal opinion. Good luck with the sale though
