Did anyone with touch screen hack update to 74.00.230 yet?

I'm going to update my 2016 CX-5 from 70.00.367 to 74.00.230, but I'm wondering if the touch screen enable hack persist like it did with 70.00.367.

I didn't do any AIO hacks, just used the official debug screen on an old firmware 55.00.753, then updated to 70.00.100 and then 70.00.367 and now I can still use touch screen while driving and wouldn't want to lose this feature. :)

Great, that you tried. Thanks. So the touchscreen while car is moving still works for the MZD. Have you official AA/CP installed? If so, is the touch while moving also working for AA and/or CP?

Yes I've got the upgraded hub for AA/CP and enabled the touchscreen when moving using the debug menu on an old firmware and it's still working on the newest one ...

I have not tried AA while moving since I've moved over to CP, but last time I tried on 70.x firmware it did not work but that's a limitation of AA, since CP works fine using the touch screen ...

Hey can I ask how did you enable the touch screen while driving? I have a 2018 GTR and I'd like to enable that. Did you have to get apple car play first?

@Mazdaspin: Technically there is only one inofficial way to activate touch while driving for Apple Carplay: Install Apple Carplay (Firmware 70 first, then the hardware), enable it to install tweaks via USB, install touch tweak (for moving car).
From factory touch for Apple Carplay works when car stands still only.
Depending on your current or desired firmware the process for enabling the install of tweaks via usb is different. See www.mazdatweaks.com/serial for 70.00.100 - and www.mazdatweaks.com/id7 for .335 and .352.

I would not recommend to install 70.00.021 (first buggy Apple Carplay firmware) or to install a higher version than 70.00.352 (like 70.00.367 or 74.00.230), as these can not be enabled to install tweaks via usb.

This is one of my biggest gripes with this vehicle. To include a touchscreen (an additional expense over a standard screen) in 500,000+ 2017-2021 CX-5s and not enable it while the vehicle is moving - ESPECIALLY in Carplay/Android Auto - is an idiotic and self sabotaging decision from Mazda. And if you want to fix this unnecessary design, you have to risk bricking your infotainment and completing the time consuming, elaborate process listed here Serial Connection . Not worth the hassle.

The stupid controller wheel is way more distracting than any touchscreen. Most of the industry is using touchscreen, but not Mazda.
