Looks like the pan came off fairly easily. I’d try a plastic upholstery tool vs a metal pry tool. I accidentally marred the aluminum on my old Focus transmission using a flat steel tool. A 2x4 and a rubber mallet against the drain pan might break the seal loose too.

Yes i had to use a pry tool preffer plastic ones. Just wedge it in. As it was very hard to remove before breaking loose the old sealant.
