hey, wats up guys, i just recently installed a cp-e catless down pipe, now im hearing that it blows the turbo seals. Is there anyone out there who has this part installed, and if so is this a real issue or just rumors
the turbo seals in most if not all of our cars came bad, getting the downpipe just shows that you have the problem because of the smoke and no cats, its not the downpipe fault.
I've had the DP (CP-E) installed for 5 months now and my seals are fine, no smoking whatsoever. I'm not sure how long it takes after installing the DP for this problem to rear its ugly head but so far so good for mine.
Its not the DP's that cause the problem, Everyone that is having the issue are either at stock configs or were unable to notice due to the restrictive exhaust. I just had mine in and he said he found some coolant that had leaked out, he said he cleaned everything up and it didnt smoke for 3-4 days. Its starting back up again so I beginning to wonder if its a coolant leak and not oil.
