2014~2021 Claybar versus Modeling Clay

I have been told by numerous car care freaks (like ME!) that the modeling clay that kids use in school or at home is virtually the same thing and same consistency as that found in the local auto care department shelves. It’s dirt cheap (by comparison) and you get quite a bit in a package.

Can any of you guys verify this? Have any experience in the process? Thoughts? I’m not feeling the pressing need to be a guinea pig, yet. Although I have thought about buying some and trying it on a small area not visible to the eye.

I would buy and try. After a quick Google search, it seems that some people had success with it. As you said, try it on a less visible spot first, then if it works, go to town!
