Clarification question or does anyone run this tire on the stock rim?

I found a deal on 225/45/17

tried to search but nothing really comming up other then aftermarket wheels w/ 225/45/17

none the less:

the stock wheels are 17X6.5

is there any risk on running a 225/45/17 on the OEM Rim?

will there be issues with fitting rubber on a narrow?

any one actually running this size on there OEM rim???

i would not recomend going that wide on a stock rim... you will have more flex in the sidewall do to the bulge then if you had a properly fit tire. so any performance gain from the wider patch is negated due to more flex at the sidewall.
