I was looking for info on the Mazda 5 (just saw my first one in a parking lot today) and came across an article just published today from Gulf Times stating that the 2020 Mazda CX-5 received the Golden Steering Award (GSA), given exclusively for SUVs and 4X4s by Qatar-based automotive magazine ‘Arab Motors Middle East’.

The article is not long on details, but we don't hear much about Mazda in the Middle East. National Car Company has been the sole agent for Mazda in Qatar for the last five decades.

It's interesting that it is in the 'premium' class. I would guess that includes BMW Lexus etc.

Yeh, when I said the article was not long on details, that's a big part of what's not included.

It's Qatar. Lotsa bucks. I kept reading to see who else was in the running for that title.
On the other hand, it's possible that something got lost in translation with that word.
