2017 CX-9 Signature with 22” x 9.5 wheels

I’ve seen where some people have used 285/35/22 tires on their CX-9 with 22x10.5 wheels. If you go with 22x9.5 wheels you can get a similar look with 265/40/22 tires. No rubbing and ride comfort is similar to OEM. I went with a bigger tire to help ride comfort. Wheels have an aggressive offset at ET15.

Looks good! Do the wheels poke out at all? Would love to see a shot from the rear or the front.

They are pretty flush. If any, the poke may only be 2-3mm.

Looks good! Just a point of note, your comment of going with a “bigger tire for ride comfort” isn’t exactly correct. A 265/40 tire will have pretty much the exact same sidewall size as a 285/35 tire. Ride comfort between the two should be more or less the same and is more dependant on the specific tire and how firm the sidewall is.

Thanks. Yes it’s very minimal but a 285/35/22 tire has a 758.3mm diameter and a 265/40/22 tire is 770.8mm. The sidewall on a 265/40 is roughly 6.25mm larger than a 285/35.
