2016 CX-5 Touring A/C randomly comes on

I'm at 34,000 miles right now and I have noticed this happen twice in the last few months.

Temp dial is set to cold, and the air/fan dial is completely off. All of a sudden, the air comes on full blast and the a/c light is on. If I wiggle the air/fan dial, it stops.

Anyone know what could be causing this? Car's under 3 year warranty through May 2018, but I'd like to avoid a dealer visit if possible.

Good luck with that one. If I were you I'd take it to the dealer, they probably won't be able to duplicate it but at least you will have it on record when it starts happening again when your warranty has expired.

Could be a loose connection, maybe they'll get lucky and find something or maybe they'll just tightened everything up and that will solve the problem.
