2013~2016 2013 CX-5 overhead lights not turning off

I tried to replace the overhead lights with LEDs and one of the started smoking and blew the fuse. I removed all of the LEDs and put the regular bulbs back in, but now all the lights stay on if the switch is put in the door position and the rear driver's side light stays on permanently. The light no longer clicks when you push it. What happened and how do I fix it?

It sounds like you accidentally shorted out the Rear Body Control Module (RBCM). It's located behind the cargo compartment light and, on 2013-2015 CX-5s is super easy to short out (they added a fuse in 2016+). The only solution is to replace the RBCM. Search on the forums and you'll find posts on it from back then. It was a pretty common issue until folks learned to be really, really careful changing bulbs or to disconnect the battery cable first. Don't know how much the module is, but I remember comments that it isn't cheap.
