2009 CX9 GT- No TPMS light on start up. CANADA

Just bought my 2009 CX9 GT. When I was going over the car I noticed that I do not have the TPMS indicator on the start up. Canadian model.

Is this light supposed to come on for a few seconds on start up?

I think it is a must in the US.

Anyone else have this issue?

The led may be burned out? or maybe Canadian spec does not have them? (check for metal valve or rubber @ wheel)

The valve stem is rubber. I had a tire at 20 psi and there was NO audible alert.
I am OK with not having TPMS. That way when I purchase my winter tires and rims I won't need transmitters installed. $360 from the TireRack.

If your valve stem is rubber, then that means there is no tire pressure sensor. Canada must not have them. I am fairly certain that all wheel mounted pressure sensors have a metal stem. Very strange!!

I believe the Canadian model does not have TPMS. There's an old thread on here somewhere back

Thanks. SeCX-9. I spoke to the dealer and in Canada TPMS came out on the 2010. So, I won't have to worry about sensors on the tire package from the Tirerack. How are your Sort Edition winter rims holding up. I am finding corrosion on my 20"s. I still have warranty and I am going to try and see if they are covered.
