i ran tein s-tech's on stock shocks & sruts for 2 years

my friend has a 99 626 auto, when he puts it in drive it dies, puts back in park, restarts, puts back in drive and dies, back in park restarts it and does fine... what could be problem?????? any help would be appreciated!!!!!!!! thanks
