I had a similar thing in my 2019. Although I am not sure if it is exactly the same, then I went over bumps (intermittantly) there was a clunk noise.
I took it in and there were some loose bolts on the cross bar in the engine (closer to the windshield).
Maybe give everything a quick knock to...
So similar to hawaiian_bread, this was due to some loose bolts on the front end. The tech knew exactly what it was and tightened a few others to be sure.
If you go in, you can also ask the to update the infotainment system - the new version is much faster.
I have a 2019 CX-5 GTR with under 5 K miles on it, and at lower speeds when going over medium bumps the front right (and occasionally rear right) have a thunk sound that seems unusual. I cant see anything that is a blaring red flag), but I would best describe it as the shock fully...
@ DwightFrye I had to do similar, bummer to have to do the extra work, but at the price point, im not mad.
I actually used the velcro command strips to hold it down on the carpet and 3M foam tape to hold the rubber to the meta
Could you clear vinyl cover it (the same they use to wrap a car with a bit of heat) then trim the edges?

I have wondered a lot of the same. I also wonder what the tape / glue will do when it is time to remove - ultimately those unanswered questions have been barriers to purchase

2. re the whistling, amazing that @wrxray was able to find that. I took a peak at mine and can assume the whistle I hear is from that (I hear it intermittently over 85mph)
