Removing Rear Badges

Want to swap out the rear "Protege5" badge. Is it like a Miata where there are pins and I have to take apart the whole rear hatch or are they 3M taped on?

There are pins.

Which is stupid because you've got holes through the hatch that feeds in salty water and destroys your hatch.


Tape would have been a better idea.

Yes, but can you just pry them out? Or do you have to remove the inner panel?

They pop out.

I popped mine out.

The side/door moldings are just stuck on.

You heat them up with a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the glue then remove the residue.
