I just got an email from Edmund's linking to a June 17 article: Best Used Cars...Top-Rated Used Cars, Trucks and SUVs

At the top of the Best Used SUVs List is the 2016 CX-5, Edmund's rated 8.1/10.0

They state the average 2016 Mazda CX-5 transaction price is $19,133
The "Savings vs New" is 36%, lower than just about all the 26 other vehicles of all types except for trucks and a couple of hybrids (meaning they really hold their resale value).

The article doesn't get into trim levels or mileage.
And the "article" is sort of click-bait to their used car site.
But still....

Funny - no CR-V's. Wonder if that's because they're crappy or because they're too expensive?

No Toyotas, either.

That's why I said it was likely more click-bait than an in-depth analysis of the used car market. There are 27 vehicles in it, but only 2-3 from each class.

It just seems that the CX-5 shows up in so many of these pieces, no matter how cursory they may be.
