Installed Headlight LED DRLs

Cool, ordered two of these from the ebay link you put up earlier. For such a cheap price you can't go wrong. :D

Edit: BTW, I hope I didn't miss it in a previous post but is changing the bulb pretty easy? Can it be found in the manual?

As long as you're not in a rush, can't beat pricing from China and may have to wait 2-3 weeks for delivery.
Just got this email from the seller:
Hello, dear customer,

The item has just been sent via China Post Service, it may take 8-15 days for you to receive. .

DRL bulb replacement? So easy a cave man can do it.

I think these are the same or similar to the ones I bought on eBay.
Do they remain on at very dim level after you turn off the car or open & close the door?

Dang, went into the garage tonight where it's completely dark and I noticed the LEDs DO stay on at a very dim level.
You guys think this is safe (battery wise)?

This doesn't make sense. If no current is flowing to the bulb socket, how can an LED be lit? Does it fade away or does it remain in that dim level?

It should turn off after 2-3 minutes. I'm not too worried as others are experiencing the same.
I'm guessing there is current going through the bulbs/wires & since the LEDs take so little power to light up that even a few watts light them off. I've had them in for +2 months now & no dead battery & they turn off after accessory is turned off automatically by the ECU.

This thread is really long.

Can somebody just provide me a link to a set of DRL LED bar lights that will work (easily) on a 2013 CX-5 GS?

Feeling lazy or is your "search" feature broken?

I think they started making decoders for those who have the Touring and Sport models. Not sure on the reliability though and those things probably get pretty hot too. I'm thinking of getting some led smd bulbs for my 6 but don't want to risk frying anything.

Hi there,
I have CX-5 with technology package and DRLs are separate bulbs. I didn't really like those stock yellow bulbs. After my previous experience with LEDs, I decided to order CREE LEDs to my Mazda, https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned).

They are very bright and super easy to install.
In addition, in Switzerland since Jan. 2014, there is a law to use DRLs (or position lights) during daily driving.
Here is LED in left lamp and stock yellow one in right lamp (my mum in the car).

Here after changing both:

And in daily light:

I think it was a great idea to change them.

Would like to see pics of the Cree bulbs since I too was not enthused over the regular LEDs. Can't see pics in your post.
