Tire rubbing with springs and 18s?

This may have been covered somewhere else. But, I have a question. Some of us with the 5 door experience rubbing when the rear bottoms out, which happens with just the driver. For those of you with lowered springs and/or 18" weels. Do the new springs have a stiffer rate to prevent the bottoming? Or are you haveing more or less rubbing?
I would like to drop about .5-1" and use 225/40-18s. will this combo fit?

I have stock wheels, stock size tires and Eiback Pro-Kit (1.25" drop).

No rubbing at all.

Drop springs will definitely have a stiffer spring rate.

what are they rubbing on? the springs or the lip in the fender well? If its the lip then you can just roll it up. Thats what I did on my MP3

Nope. Never had any rubbing of any kind.

Me either. I've had four fat a$$es and four sets of golf clubs in my car.
