I saw a guy on here a while back who was selling a set of black powder coated stock rims and i was wondering where i could take my rims to have them powder coated? what kinda shop would do this?
it really depends on how much prep work is involved with the particular rims and what the surface edges look like. I've found that when coating rims if the spokes are hard 90* edges that the powder will pull away when it cures....this causes you to re-do the same piece a few times before you get it right. I usually wait to see the rim before quoting but if you have stock 16" protege rims I'd usually do it for $200+shipping.
