Just saw a MSM at a local dealership and noticed that it came with hardpipes. Does anyone here know what material Mazda decided to use for these pipes. I think it's not really fair the the MSM got hardpipes, when it voids my warranty if I installed a set in my MSP.
I don't actually know the composition of the hardpipes on my car, but I would assume aluminum... that's generally what intake piping is made from for these applications.
ok, I dunno why my post is in such a big font either?
If you're looking at making some, definately go AL. Steel will hold more heat, and be a ton heavier... Only reason to go with steel would be to cut costs.
