94-97 cam specs

Everywhere you look, they say the the intake and exhaust cams are of different lift and duration, but in the Miata Enthusiast Manual and actual measurements seem to contradict that.....

I guess I should elaborate on this. For quite some time, it was assumed that the intake cam on the 94-97 Miata was the same lift and duration as the exhaust. As it turns out, the cams specs are exactly the same as 90-94 BP Proteges. Randy Stocker's Solomiata website lists the specs as being the same, and his site is pretty much Miata gospel. Somebody goofed up along the way. The reason this is an issue, is that I recently installed an exhaust cam in the intakes side and got 8whp and 4lb-ft of torque. Many Miata guys thought this wouldn't apply to them, because their cam specs were the same. So anyone out there with a 94-97 Miata, find yourself a cheap exhaust cam, and install it on the intake side.....
