Plan of attack. a picture story.

Well last weekend I replaced the midpipe and 5zigen can

w/ a new midpipe and Racing Beat axleback exhaust. No more loud @ss car!



First I vacuumed the car, wiped the sufaces and used Meguiars leather cleaner/conditioner on the seats, shift boot and steering wheel.


and cleaned the interior glass w/ Stoner's invisible glass


Then I washed the car w/ meguiars gold class soap.


then clayed it w/ clay magic fine clay bar.


then washed it again w/ said soap.

That was all I could do, waiting for some product.



The UPS guy came yesterday and dropped off some extra stuff I ordered, So here's the plan of attack for this weekend.

Wash car w/ meguiars gold class.


Now the fun part! woohoo!
I'm going to do ther entire car with my DeWalt DW 849 rotary polisher


and a Edge 2000 yellow pad


w/ Meguiars #83 DACP (dual action compound cleaner)


Then the use a Edge 2000 blue pad


w/ Meguiars #7 show car glaze


Then apply by hand Meguiars NXT tech wax


I'll wait a day and then add Meguiars NXT spray wax

and when you take your pics, be sure to take a picture of your reflection on your car.

for some reason I didn't think you needed to you the #7 glaze with the NXT...did Meguiars recommend this?

NXT tech should seal the glaze.

I called Meguiars. They said you can use #7 but use it sparingly if you are going to use NXT. They also said to make sure #7 is completely buffed off before using NXT. They said using both should make the paint look deeper with metallic paint.
I'm really wondering if the combination is going to make my metallic paint look deeper so I'd love to see pictures of how your car came out.
