$500 off the MSP ... for now

While making my deposit on my MSP today, I had the dealer look up what incentives, if any, they were running. All of the current incentives do not apply to the MSP except for the $500 off for people who graduated college in the last 2 years or will graduate in the next 6 months.

The other college grad incentive (180 days before 1st payment) does NOT apply.

I saw this on the Mazda Intranet site that the dealers use. My dealer said that I am locked into the $500 cash back since I made my deposit while the incentive was running. He said he would not be surprised if they took it off for the MSP.

Anyways, if any of you all want to take advantage of it, I would. It makes a pretty decent deal a little better.

You could probably still do 90 days until your first payment. That's a normal option on most car loans. Interest will still accrue during that time (so you'll pay a little more interest total) but if the initial payment, tax, tags and insurance is going to wipe you out, it's not a bad idea to defer the first payment as long as possible.
