So they're boosting the airbox? At least that's the way it looks from the pictures.

If I'm understanding what you're saying, then yes/no. The turbo has to get the air it compresses somehow, and this is from the intake side of the turbo. This intake air still has to be filtered, so it comes from the airbox and is piped to the intake side of the turbo.

I'm sure you'll see lots of people getting a cold air extension to allow less restricted air through. I'm sure you'll also see these people getting better gains with adding the extension than those with stock MP3s. That and a bigger exhaust and a boost controller, people will be able to get a lot of HP out of the MSP for cheap!

In the picture they have the regular rubber pipe going directly to the throttle body.

I think I answered my own question though. They must get these cars fully assembled and then ad the Callaway kit?

That would explain why the intake looks like it did in the pictures.

yea dude, the cars come assembled but without the turbos, racing beat exhaust or audio system. all those things are put in by callaway cars over here... not too sure who puts the system in though
