what kind of problems have the 3's been having? my dads '04 w/ the 2.3, his CEL came on and has no clue why. Says it runs fine but will the dealer dick him around? It is all stock and has the tiptronic tranny, but like I said just curious if there are any recalls or has anyone else had this?

My CEL came on because of a faulty mass airflow sensor, but on this forum I learned others had the CEL problem for various reasons. I'm afraid there's no recall. In any case, your dad's problem should be fixed under warrenty. Why should your dealer dick you around, your dealer should get a decent compensation from mazda for replacements under warrenty.

if they say no fixie...get hold of manager...if situation doesn't rectify itself by then call mazda service and let them know dealership X is denying you on Warenty Work!
