what kind of intakes are out there for the RX-8 ..my uncle recently purchased one and wants to put an intake on there..i know k&n makes one but are there anyothers....also i heard that the batter needs to be moved to intall an intake...if anyone can offer any suggestions that would be appreciated ...other then the usual search..thanx alot

I talked to one of the techs at Injen. They said they were trying to prototype one, but werent gaining or loosing any power. I havent spoken to them since, and I am sure they worked it out.

either that or they found out the STOCK intake is actually very well designed such that they couldn't get any more power out of their designs.

my uncle actually went with the k&n intake...looks great has an awsome sounds and u can actually feel a gain in the higher rpms
