my friend bought an rx-7 1st or 2nd gen...don't know for sure...anywho, the motor was seized...well, he has it running...but it runs like s***. the oil smells like gas...and it's hard to crank at first...you have to keep your foot on the gas about a minute until it can idle on it's own. if you cut it off after that, it'll crank up, no problem. he said that it was doing great until he put it on a roll-back and when he was pulling up, it started bogging down. he's replaced the carb, got a new ignition system, plugs and wires...and none of that helped.
