when I was at the dealer I overheard the sales manager talking to a customer about the rx-8. Basically the customer asked what was up with the pricing? The sales manager tells him that Mazda was wrong about the horsepower and they will offer $5000 off any new one. Then he says any sold rx-8 has the option of having the car bought back from mazda or $5000 for upgrades. HAS anybody heard anything about this!!!

Yup,

Mazda stepped on their dick with this one. Most of the major magazines have talked about it. It is deinitely not a rumor, Mazda is just trying to avaid major publicity with it.

haha, there is nothing about $5000 involved in the new figures!

If you pre-ordered or bought a RX-8 before they released the new numbers, Mazda offered to buy back the RX-8 or give you $500 and free maintaince for the life of the warranty. You're living on another planet if you think Mazda is giving away 5K to ppl
