Mazda 6 shifter?

I hear the Mazda 6 shifter fits a P5 thread pattern...has anyone tried this? Does anyone have pics or the knob?

I would be interested in this myself, I was thinking about getting a MSP shift knob, but I have driven the 6 and I liked the one in it.

If anyone lives in Evansville (which I doubt), I would be willing to meet them and try it.

There is a dealer right down the road, but they would probably be pissed if I got in an MP5 and started taking it apart.
