Just this past weekend on Horsepower TV there was some import tuner guy showing how to do mods on a 93 Civic. In particular he did an intake, exhaust headers and complete exhaust. But he made one huge mistake...he actually dynoed it after. The result? 10 hp.
Too bad he didn't dyno it after installing just the intake. I would presume the sponsors of the show would have been pretty embarassed to see their intake generate maybe 1 hp.
Don't waste money on intakes.

I've heard that some of the cheaper "short ram" intakes actually make you LOSE power, not to mention having no gains. So if you're gonna go with an intake, at least go with Injen's CAI, then you'll probably gain 1hp or so
