which trans oil should i use?

i got a manual trans 02 p5, got about 28k miles, planning to change trans oil, thinking bout mobile one synthetic oil SAE 75W-90, is this the right kind of oil for our trans? can we use it? if not which brands r do u guys use?

what bout engine oil too? 10W-30 r 5W-30

redline MT-90 seems to be popular among user on this site. Thats what i got. I think other have use mobil 1 also.

75W-90 is recommended. I have tried Mobil1 and MT-90 and I would recommend MT-90 from Redline.

As for engine oil, recommended is 5W-30.

Royal Purple 5w 30 is another great oil!!! You might wanna give that a shot. It can be found at any Carquest or Checkers autoparts store.

Summitracing.com sells redline at 7.95 a qt. You will need 3 qt's. There are 2 23mm bolts (maybe 25mm can't remember), 1 is the drain on the bottom drivers side and another which is the fill halfway up the front of the transaxle on the drivers side.

Drain out the old much like an oil change. If you are not comfortable doing this then get a garage to do it for you.

I myself use Redline Lightweight Shock Proof gear oil. It looks like popcorn butter in a gallon bottle (which is about what you will need).
