ok well...seeing as how the MP3 is the girlfriends main ride...im looking towards another vehicle for my performance hunger. i was thinking of some of the few vehicles.

6G Civic HB w/ JDM ITR B18C engine swap
240SX with a S15 Silvia front clip
imported Skyline GT-R V-Spec (one can dream can't he?)

open to other ideas. also this is just an idea for a project...i dont intend to do all this all at once...im not rich ya know. this project may extend over a couple years...maybe more.

im leaning heavily towards the civic (dont hate me) cause the fact that its pretty much bolt in...and parts so so readily available...and the engine is extremely potent. work in a turbo and i may be looking at 250+ (guesstimate) in an extremely light car...

dude, get a mini.
1000 lbs with a 3.0 lt.
you will fly.
the fastest car i've ever seen was a mini at a autocross.
the tires never hooked up once and he still beat everyone there.
at least look into them.

If you are planning on stretching this out get the 240 man. If you drop in the SR20DET you will have one of the best 4 bangers in the world to work with.

If I were you, I wouldn't pay big bucks for the JDM ITR B18C5. THat thing puts out, what, 200 hp? Andthe USDM ITR is 190 or something. Not a big difference, definietely does not warrant a few thousand dollar difference.

In fact, I think ITR engines are WAY overpriced. My cousin owned a EK Civic hatch with a B18C1 (integra GSR) engine swap and with a few mods like a header, exhaust, B18C5 pistons, and intake, it could easily take on any ITR out there. Of course, the interior was stripped, but, still, it's way cheaper than to go with an ITR swap.

i agree go with the 240. personally im saving up so i can import an Escort Cosworth 94s and 95s can be brought into the country no problem. if you really want a skyline go to www.motorex.net (i believe is .net if it isnt try .org) they import skylines prices range fomr 32,000 for a R-32 to 90,000 for a hooked up R-34

hehe the skyline was just there to fill up a space...although i WOULD buy one if i had that kind of money. the 240 looks good....

I would get a 90-94 Miata and order up a Flying Miata, GReddy, or AVO Turbo world turbo kit. That's just what I would do.

I would of course say honda but it depends what you are going for. There are tons of honda parts out there and the cars hold up pretty well but you can't just pop in a turbo motor like in the 240. I can't really tell you what to do. I think it is just a matter of tastes. Either way you will have a car with tons of pontential.
