Exactly what it says it is. A prototype. This was a spinoff when they were designing the new Mazda 6.

No production of it in sight though.

it seems fake to me... the back end resembles a honda civic and it looks like the interior from the new mazda atenza. i don't know about this one. i'm not sayin you're lying, but it seems to good to be true!!!

Nope, it's not a fake. I saw that car 2 or so years ago in a Top Gear (UK only mag). It was just a prototype. The pics of the orange one were from the 2000 or 2001 Tokyo Auto Salon. Sadly, it never made it to production in the UK. Funny how it kinda resembles the MP3 except for the different tail lights and headlights. Even that interior shot looks close to ours, just the steering wheel is on the right. Good find SanFran

The new Atenza will be called " Six " when it reaches America. The base engine will be a 2.3-liter 178hp 4cyl. There is a premium engine option that will be a 3.0-liter V-6. According to SCC.
