Could anyone tell me where I can purchase door protector side moldings that have the Mazda or CX5 name on them.

Thanks for the info, went to site, looking for something a little less expensive.

Here is another vendor that has some.. but no CX-5 text. Others have said they bought here in the past and color match was good. https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-123817583.html

I doubt you will find them much cheaper though.

curious as to how these things protect your car. if like a shopping cart hits it from the side, the protector would act a bumper of sorts?

They are not perfect, but mostly protect against door dings. Not all doors lineup of course. Shopping carts - i am not sure how much help they would offer.

I think they look good on some vehicles - breaking up a lot of flat sheet metal.

These do work, but aren't perfect. I have cuts on the door guards that show where the molding has protected the door paint and scratches on the door above the molding as well. If the shopping cart struck at just the right place and angle the door molding would help.

I was looking at U Tube about installing roof side rails on my vehicle and saw a video by carladylisa.com that showed a Mazda with the molding that would work for me, went to her website, but no luck, but after her video ended, another on started by Luxwood Trim showing installation of chrome trim around bottom of doors, went to there website, but no luck either.

I have used the sportwing on two CX-5s with good results, actually twice on one as wife had an argument with a parked car which cost me a new door... I got them on ebay.
