Hello,

I just bought the 2017 CX-5 GS, and I was wondering if it was possible to put the auto-dimming feature of the rear-view mirror to default to OFF rather than on. The light annoys me and I rarely used the flippy thing in my old car (back windows are tinted a lot).

Most of the auto-dimming mirrors have a power button on the front to disable this.

Yes there's a power button... I'd like to avoid having to press it every single time I get in the car.

Are you talking about that little green light on the mirror that annoys you? I notice the light every once in a while but it never bothered me, interesting.

If you dont use homelink you could unplug the wire in the back

Or a tiny, discrete piece of black electric tape.
