Went to site and read manuel, noticed that it did not say anuthing about cutting molding, is the whole moulding just discarded? Noticed most installations on u tube show it being cut.

Make sure the videos are for the 17/18 using OEM rails. The 17/18 OEM rails contact the car the entire length, while previous years the rails were raised.
