This might come in handy for those high speed night drives with wild hogs crossing the road all the time. Or for folks in snow country it might turn your CX5 into a nice plow. Not saying I like this or need it, but someone might, lol. http://broadfeet.com/mazda/cx-5 They have other pics on their website and also bull bars for the OG CX5.

I want to see it on someone else's CX5 first.... But personally I think it works against the CX5 design language

We would classify that here as a form of nudge bar. This is a proper bull bar!

Highly illegal in Europe. I think a hog would just get swept through the radiator with it being so low. No hogs in England anyway!

Too low, you see these things in New York City all the time more to prevent bumper dings for unrespectful people who use the "bump and feel" method to parallel park into tight spaces but the photo in OP post is too low it's below the bumper line of most sedans. The bar has to go up as high as the license plate location. The Mazda wing chrome will still be susceptibale to bumper hits. Useless.

You would need to at least cover about half of the grille to have any affect

Looks like a recipe for disaster to me. Those things can turn a minor impact into major damage if they're of the cosmetic sort and not built into the frame or a heavy duty bumper.

Oh aye, if it hits something, all the force will be transferred back into the chassis instead of being absorbed into the front as designed. It's a maming device in more ways than one.

I know. I was just posting this because I can't believe someone makes something like this for a CX5 and surely this would violate some of the pedestrian protection regulations in most countries.

am I the only one thinking that this colour paint would go really well with the almond interior?

If there is a market out there....

That’s hideous and IMHO totally opposite of the direction Mazda was going with the CX-5.

I just threw up in my mouth as a result of not knowing what these dopey ass things were called dammit!
