2017 CX-5 Cargo Size vs 2017 Honda CRV Cargo Size

Cheers.
Anyone with a spankin' new CX-5 could you post the floor width of the cargo opening
and the depth length to the back of the front seat.
I got someone to check a CRV measure and it's about at 40" wide and 70" depth to seat back.

Good question ... I'd like to know this too. The cu/ft spec is semi-relevant unless you're stuffing the wayback with tennis balls.

Width at widest point of the opening is 44", narrowest is 39ish". Depth to 2nd row back seat is 37". Depth to front passenger seat slid all the way forward is 74", all the way back is about 65". Cargo height (roof to cargo floor) is 31".

The main difference in cargo area between the two - both in the actual interior space and in the dimensions of the hatch opening - seems to be height. The CRV cargo floor seems to be quite a bit lower than the CX-5 giving both the opening and the trunk itself around 6" more height.

Based on a video comparing both, the CRV seems bigger my 15 cubic feet. It also holds additional "jump seats" (I'm not sure if that's the proper terminology).
